GEARE Statistics

Purdue University is making the effort to assure that the Global Engineering Alliance for Research and Education is acknowledged as a valuable source of education. GEARE is a rapidly expanding program that is keeping pace with the global engineering economy. Due to the globalization of the economy, Engineers of today's world have the responsibility to understand cultural differences and interact appropriately with the people with whom they work. The GEARE program provides an effective and efficient means of learning this critical knowledge in today's world while having fun at the same time!

The information contained on this page will give you an idea of the number of students in GEARE and the growth of the program.  GEARE began in 2003 with 3 students going to Germany, and is now sending 21 students abroad to 5 different countries!

The charts also demonstrate that we’d like to see more students going to non-European countries!  The Germany program is great, but don't forget about the China, India and Mexico programs. These countries will also provide unforgettable experiences!  Are you up to the challenge? Try something new and exciting!
